WHAT IS PHYSICAL THERAPY?
It helps people restore an injured area to normal function to they can live without
pain. We work with muscles and treat people how to exercise and proper
bio-mechanics and posture, so they can live and function normally.
AM I GOING TO BE SORE?
When after an injury or surgery the area of pain will need to be moved through
normal movement and it may be sore at first, but is temporary.
DO YOU JUST GIVE ME EXERCISES TO DO AT HOME?
No, we help you through a series of exercises here in the office. Once you have
mastered them we will gradually give you exercise to do at home.
SHOULD I DO PHYSICAL THERAPY OR CHIROPRACTIC?
What we have seen patients who incorporate both get better faster. The physical
therapy strengthens the muscles while the chiropractic get the area moving through
its normal range of motion.
DO I HAVE TO TAKE MY CLOTHES OFF?
No, not entirely. We focus on the area of the body that is
needing work so other areas can remain clothed.
WHAT CAN MASSAGE DO FOR ME?
Massage works on the muscles of the body by rubbing
the muscles to release build up of toxins. When we rub
the muscles these toxins are released and then taken out
of the body.
WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO GET BETTER?
Massage works differently for everyone. The results vary
from person to person. Most people feel relaxed after a
massage.
ARE MY MUSCLES GOING TO HURT AFTERWARDS?
We recommend for your first massage do not get a hard
rubbing massage. When toxins are released the muscle
can be a little sore, temporarily.
