MEDICAL SERVICES
Dr. Peggy Benzing D.O., is the Medical Director at
Sarasota Physical Medicine. Her degree is in Osteopathic
Medicine which focuses on the whole body. She can
offer patients a second or additional medical opinion
about their condition.
Dr. Benzing has 25 years of experience as an
Emergency Room Doctor, which gave her excellent
clinical diagnosis skills, but as an ER doctor she would
treat patients in a triage setting, never able to see their
full recovery.
That's the key reason Dr. Benzing joined Sarasota
Physical Medicine. She wants to work individually with
her patients and see them through the entire recovery
process. She has an excellent bedside manner and
feels rewarded to help guide patients through the
healing process through exercise, therapy and
self-motivation.

WHAT DOES DR. BENZING DO?
She evaluates patients after an
accident or fall to determine the
extent of their injuries. She can also
make a medical referral for physical
therapy to help treat the injuries in
addition to her medical treatment.
DOES SHE PRESCRIBE PAIN
MEDICATIONS?
She does not prescribe narcotics.
However, she does prescribe other
types of medication for discomfort.
DOES DR. BENZING GIVE
INJECTIONS?
Yes, she gives muscle and joint
injections. She does not use steroids
and uses natural medicines that have
proven successful outcomes for
patients.
